Code of Conduct for Business Partners

 

ZPE ZAPEL S.A. strives to achieve the highest ethical and professional standards in its relationships with business partners. This Code of Conduct aims to establish the principles and values we expect from our business partners in order to maintain honesty, integrity and mutual respect in our commercial relationships.

 
 
BUSINESS ETHICS
 
Our business partners commit to complying with all applicable laws and regulations in the country in which they operate. The provisions of criminal law on corruption that apply in a given case must be complied with, among others: the following rules are required:
 
· it is prohibited to offer, promise or grant financial benefits directly or through intermediaries to state officials or representatives of political parties in order to obtain or maintain a contract,
 
· you cannot offer, promise or grant material benefits in exchange for obtaining a privileged position in professional contacts. Demanding personal benefits in contacts with business partners is not allowed,
 
· no employee should accept any benefits resulting from
from business relations with ZPE ZAPEL S.A. which, in the light of reasonable assessment, may affect business decisions or transactions. For this reason, the partner's employees are not allowed to accept or promise any benefits to the employees of ZPE ZAPEL S.A. The partner's employees cannot also accept this type of benefits from ZPE ZAPEL S.A. employees,
 
· standards of fair business and competition must be applied. Partners may not act in a way that is or may be interpreted as unfair, restricting free competition or abusive. All actions taken must be consistent with applicable antitrust laws,
 
· partners ensure that all regulations prohibiting money laundering or financing of illegal and unlawful transactions are complied with. Partners guarantee that they do business only with business partners with a good reputation, operate legally using legal sources of financing,
 
· all information and data provided as part of the cooperation are confidential and should be treated with due caution. Business partners undertake to maintain confidentiality of information provided by ZPE ZAPEL S.A.
 
 
 
EMPLOYEE RIGHTS
 
ZPE ZAPEL S.A. requires business partners to respect the human rights of all employees and treat them with respect and dignity in accordance with international conventions:
 
· partners reject all forms of forced labor. No employee may be forced to work through violence or intimidation. Only people who have voluntarily expressed their will to work can be employed,
 
· ZPE ZAPEL S.A. complies with international legal regulations regarding children's rights. It requires its partners to also behave in the same way towards their children. This applies to all stages of production. The minimum age for employment may not be lower than the minimum age at which compulsory education ends under national law or 15 years in each case. Partners undertake to comply with international conventions prohibiting the worst forms of child labor,
 
· ZPE ZAPEL S.A. ensures that employee remuneration and benefits are fair and in accordance with applicable law. In addition, the company ensures compliance with working time regulations,
 
· ZPE ZAPEL S.A. does not discriminate against any employee or person applying for employment on the basis of origin, gender, religion or political beliefs. Partners are obliged under applicable law to counteract all forms of discrimination and unequal treatment in employment,
 
· ZPE ZAPEL S.A. respects the right of its employees to protect their personal data. In addition, partners must ensure that all forms of collection and storage of personal data comply with applicable law.
 
 
 
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
 
ZPE ZAPEL S.A. provides its employees with safe and hygienic working conditions and takes action to minimize all types of health and safety threats in the workplace. Therefore, we expects its partners to comply with occupational health and safety standards.
 
 
 
ENVIRONMENT
 
ZPE ZAPEL S.A. complies with legal regulations and international standards as well as customer requirements in the field of environmental protection. It has implemented an Environmental Management System that allows limiting the negative impact of the company's activities on the natural environment.
 
It expects business partners to comply with the provisions of generally applicable environmental protection law, a systemic approach to limiting the negative impact of their activities on the natural environment and striving to effectively use natural resources, reduce pollutant emissions and the amount of waste generated.
 
The Code of Conduct constitutes guidelines for all business partners of ZPE ZAPEL S.A. and is an integral part of our cooperation. By following these principles, we are convinced that we will achieve mutual success and build lasting, mutually beneficial business relationships.
