Zakłady Porcelany Elektrotechnicznej ZAPEL S.A. in Boguchwała is implementing, under Priority Axis I „Competitive and Innovative Economy” action 1.2 „Industrial Research, Development Works and Their Implementation” of the Regional Operational Programme of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship for 2014-2020, the project:
„Increasing the scale of research and development works carried out by ZPE ZAPEL S.A. through the development of innovative ceramic insulator technology for ultrahigh voltage (UHV)” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
Total project value: 6,617,400.00 PLN
Funding: 2,636,200.00 PLN
Project implementation period: from July 1, 2019 to July 31, 2023, covering the purchase of equipment for the Research and Development Laboratory and technical devices necessary for carrying out planned works.
Project goal: the development of production technology for innovative UHV insulators for voltages up to 1100 kV, characterized by:
- length up to 10,000mm and diameter up to 800mm,
- very high strength requirements,
- tight geometric parameters of individual component segments as well as the final bonded ceramic insulator.
The implementation of the project will result in a product that is unique in the country, and will place the plant in a unique group of European manufacturers with exceptional technical potential.
Project result: the establishment of a research and development laboratory and its equipping with specialized research equipment, dedicated to conducting research and analysis of advanced ceramic materials. Purchased devices include, among others, a high-temperature dilatometer and a heating microscope, with high performance parameters, as well as other research equipment. Additionally, the project will enable the completion of equipment in critical areas of the technological process through the commissioning of: a modern drying facility, grinders, a gluing station, a bending test station for products up to 10m in length, and measuring equipment, which will allow for the achievement of the project’s objective.
